Pros
The Sam's Club app streamlines shopping with Scan & Go mobile checkout and a built-in digital membership card. Members scan items, pay in-app, and skip registers—cutting trip time and simplifying returns with stored receipts and order history. It’s ideal for busy shoppers who want fast, contactless checkout and clear purchase records.
Save more with exclusive member pricing, digital coupons, and personalized instant-savings offers in the Sam’s Club app. Weekly deals, refillable savings for common purchases, and fuel station discounts are easy to access. Automatic coupon clipping and tailored recommendations help members maximize value without hunting through weekly ads.
The app simplifies online ordering, same-day delivery via Shipt, and convenient Club Pickup or Curbside Service. Browse inventory, check local stock, schedule deliveries, and track orders in real time. Integrated pharmacy refills and easy account management keep subscriptions, payment methods, and membership details organized for seamless household restocking.
Cons
Many features in the Sam's Club app are locked behind a paid membership, restricting access to member-only pricing, Scan & Go checkout, online savings, and curbside pickup benefits. Non-members can browse but face limited checkout options and higher prices, making the app far less useful for casual shoppers.
The app can be glitchy—users report slow loading, occasional crashes, and barcode scanning failures that interrupt Scan & Go mobile checkout. Inventory and pricing don’t always sync reliably between the app and physical stores, which can result in cancelled orders, inaccurate stock information, and frustrating pickup or delivery experiences.
Search, filtering, and product details in the app are often limited or imprecise, returning broad results and sparse descriptions. Checkout can feel confusing with unclear pricing and inconsistent application of promotions, and the app offers limited support for some third-party coupons or payment options compared with other major retail apps.
